Initially a maker of engine lathes, Taiwan Takisawa established its technical capabilities through cooperation with the Takisawa Machinery Company of Japan. Taiwan Takisawa is specialised in manufacturing precision machine tools and PCB (Printed Circuit Board) drillers for domestic and international markets.
Po Ly Gim Machinery Co., Ltd. was established in 1978. In its early stages, it built conventional lathes. After the 1997 East Asian financial crisis, President Kua Chin-whei led the R&D team to design unique products with advanced technology. Through their non-stop efforts, Kua and his team abandoned stereotypical mechanical concepts, and constructed brand new Swiss-type CNC lathes.
